Even if i was from the bronx i still rocked my boom box load to listen to mr magic. he had ny's first hip hop mix show ever . opening doors for such artist like the juice crew Whodini, Marley Marl and Boogie Down Productions. He was also noted as an influence on the likes of Tupac Shakur and the Notrorius B.I.G. Younger generations may recoginize his name and voice as the DJ on Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. he is and always be a hip hop icon. he will be missed my condolences to the rivas family.
